ActiFormCool is an ionic sheet hydrogel which donates or absorbs fluid to maintain the correct level of moisture in the wound bed. It has a cooling effect on the skin which can soothe pain as well as having a pain relieving effect from bathing the nerve endings. The moist environment encourages the body to cleanse dead tissue which helps the wound to heal.
